Speedway Main Street Parade & Community Day Application Get an application to participate >> here <<. Saturday, September 22, 2007 -- 2.00 pm Instructions: Please provide both contact information and a description of your event entry on the opposite side of this form. This information is necessary to be able to communicate with you prior to the actual event. We want to encourage local businesses, service organizations, civic organizations, church organizations, etc. to participate in this fun activity to highlight the Speedway community. Entertainment and education are the primary focus. Let’s have fun together while learning what’s going on in our community. We encourage you to self-promote your business and organization, telling us who you are, what you do, where you are located, and how the Speedway community is important to you. The Speedway Main Street Parade is designed as an old-fashioned hometown event, complete with candy, balloons, banners, floats, bands, etc. Community Day is designed as a chance for the public to learn from table displays about the many businesses and organizations that help make Speedway home. We encourage you to design your entry as family-friendly, fun, and wholesome entertainment. We will be contacting all entries with a packet of instructions and set-up information before the date of the event.
