Tolen's Florist Highlighted at SMA Meeting(posted Oct 13) Ana Buck, owner of Tolen's Florist at 1534 Main Street, was the spotlight business at Speedway Merchants' Association Oct 11 meeting. Buck said she purchased the full service floral business from Mr. Tolen about 18 months ago. Buck is expanding her line to offer that personal touch of hand creams, lip gloss and candles. Buck specializes in silk and fresh floral arrangements for babies, weddings, funerals, and housewarming and other occasions. Buck said she is not ready to retire yet and want to be part of Main Street as long as Speedway wants her. Buck thinks she is the only full line specialty florist in town even though the local supermarkets do sell flowers. Jennifer Lyttie of Affaire All Occasion Catering said "she is definitely the best in town." |
