Main Street Business Suffers Smoke Damage(posted Sept 19) The Speedway Fire department responded to report of a fire at 1434 Main Street at 1:35pm today and found the closed business full of smoke on arrival. Firefighters made entry to Alterations Plus when the store's owner showed up just after the fire department arrived. According to Fire Marshal Bob Fishburn, the fire was caused by an industrial type iron that is usually left on. Fishburn said that the damage was mostly smoke related with only a small amount of water used in the corner where the fire originated. |
